To Market To Market

We have been so busy trying to market the bags George designs using this wonderful pile of old, worn, canvas that he and his son have gathered up. We have put about 10 one of a kind bags on our web site. We recently spent a week in Massachusetts at the Brimfield Antique Show buying old product stencil that we use to embellish the bags. Of course, we found lots of other stuff too which can be found at our store in Olympia, at the upcoming Alameda Point Antique Fair in San Fran. or at the wonderful Farm Chicks Show in Spokane, WA.

Gotta love thin glass balls

After I get my orders out today, I am gonna make a nice pan of gingerbread. I love the cozy smell it gives the house. Actually, I think I'll make it first!

Pam Fromuth from Portland was in my store last week. She is such fun to have visit. She took tons of pictures of the obsessive amounts of vintage Christmas stuff I have at the moment in the store. Check out her blog:

shopping bags at Roy's

I find myself haunting the wildest places looking for the good junk. Roy had a couple of these in his store today and I took them back and added them to the pile. Can't get enough of that 70's plastic. Eat your heart out today's reusable bag.

Plant Posies!

I have been having fun looking for these old tire planters at every sale I go to.

I think they are so cool and can't imagine how hard it must be to make one.

I painted this one a pretty turquoise color, filled it with pink annuals and think it looks perfectly lovely on the porch of my store.

I hope I see ya at my store!

A picture says a thousand words

A very friendly young woman named Jessica Eskelsen whom I have met up at the Fremont Market on many Sundays came down to Olympia and took many, many wonderful photos of the stuff in my store. If you can't make it in, her pics really give you an idea of what is there. Thank you, Jessica! Here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davejess/sets/72157616983479723/

Beautiful old wood type is in!

George just got back from a buying trip to Massachusetts. He found a nice, big pile of old printer's type and it has arrived in the store. He even found an old set that had been hand carved way back in 1880 or so he said. Of course, he also found a bunch of other stuff, too!
